Episode Six – The Embrace: Prayer, Contemplation, Service and Ministry

The final episode in the series focuses on the inward worship practices of prayer and contemplation balanced with the outward acts of worship found in service and ministry.  In part one, viewers will journey from Biblical times to the present to discover a rich tradition of reflective spirituality, from familiar prayers such as the Lord’s Prayer and the Jesus Prayer to the influence of the desert fathers and subsequent monastic traditions on current contemplative practices.  Part two explores how service and ministry is the outward extension of Christian worship into the world.  Viewers will meet Sue Nilson Kibben, pastor of a ministry called Broken Chains that reaches out to the biker subculture with the Gospel message.
