Dr. John Witvliet
Dr. John Witvliet is the Director of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship and Professor of Music and Worship at Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary. Dr. Witvliet holds graduate degrees in theology from Calvin College, in music from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. in liturgical studies from the University of Notre Dame. He has written several books and articles and serves as editor for two series of books: the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship Liturgical Studies Series through Eerdmans and Vital Worship, Healthy Congregations through the Alban Institute. Dr. Witvliet has also contributed to several dictionaries, including the Westminster Dictionary of Liturgy and Music andWorship Music: A Concise Dictionary.
